Starting in early April and lasting until the end of November, look for Mosel wine festivals, the festivals generally take place in the town squares and feature local foods and wines and entertainment.

Maibock Beer Days

Munich, Germany

Get a little of this years Maibock beer at the Hofbrauhaus and other Munich beer gardens. I happen to love the fact that the Monks brewed strong beer (Starkbier)to get through Lent and then brewed Maibock beer to get their strength back after Lent. It's a fairly laid back time in Munich so head to the Hofbrauhaus, Andechser am Dom or the Weisses Brauhaus which actually serves some delectable dishes if you like organ meats.
