Rock am Ring and Rock am Park

Rock am Ring and Rock am Park in Nürburg draw thousands of people annually to this huge 3 day rock festival sponsored by MTV. A 125 euro entrance fee provides a camping place for the duration and entrance to all the shows. With over 60 bands including Linkin Park and Smashing Pumpkins this year, it is a must for rock lovers. Three different stages at each venue provide fans with the chance to listen to music day and night and then camp out close by.

Dresden Music Festival

17 May - 3 June 2007 Dresden fills with music for a few weeks for the Dresden Music Festival. With over 80 performances, you can take in music from several genres as well as dance at venues around Dresden.

Hamburg International Short Film Festival

Hamburg, Germany 6-11 June 2007 Started in 1984, under the title "No Budget", the Hamburg International Short Film Festival is stages at cinemas around Hamburg. Be prepared for a lot of off the wall stuff and some very interesting films from young filmmakers around the world.

Bunte Republik Neustadt

In juxtaposition to the Dresden Music Festival, the Bunte Republik Neustadt in the artsy Neustadt area of Dresden presents over 1,000 different artists and projects on the alternative scene.
