There are a lot of Music, Dance and Film Events this month. One of the highlights around Germany is the Verzauber Lesbian and Gay Film Festival which tours major cities with the latest in gay and lesbian films. If you are a jazz lover you can take in the Berlin Jazz Festival, the Hamburg Jazz Marathon or go to one of many of the jazz concerts at the Jazzmeile Festival in Thuringia.
Berlin offers a lot of events this month including jazz festivals, film festivals and art festivals as well as the International Military Music Festival and the Berlin Fairy Tale Festival. Cologne and Dusseldorf pull out the stops for the Carnival celebration on November 11 at 11:11 pm. The Hamburg Dom opens at the beginning of the month and while in Hamburg you can take in the Jazz Marathon or go to the Hamburg Messe to see the latest and greatest in home and consumer products or visit the handcrafts and arts festival at the Kunst und Gewerbe Museum. Visit Munich for the start of Carneval or for the Jewish Cultural Festival.
If you are in the Frankfurt area, travel to Hochheim to take in the 500 year old Hocheimer Festival for a taste of old and new Germany both. Come toward the end of November to enjoy the Christmas markets and get your shopping in early for the Christmas season.

Almost half a million people come for the annual fair and market which is both an agricultural fair for the many farms and vineyards in the area and a festival with arts, crafts, plenty of food, wine and beer as well as ongoing entertainment.
