Haeftling („Prisoner“) is the first jail wear brand in the world, introducing a clothing collection that is handcrafted by inmates throughout Germany; a percentage of the proceeds goes back to the prisons.

The idea for this unconventional project originated in the prison Berlin Tegel, where clothes have been manufactured for over 100 years by convicts for their own use.
Now the inmates make their hard time pay and produce clothes for the outside world.

Folsom Fashion:

The Haeftling clothing collection ranges from jeans, and jackets, to shoes, skirts, and underwear. All products captivate through their minimalist and timeless design and a tough but elegant touch.
The clothes combine clear features with functional aspects, and the collection is surely made to last longer than one season.

In addition to their clothing line, Haeftling also sells household articles and even food; a special treat is the Haeftling “Schnapps”-Set, consisting of three premium spirits. Everything is handmade py German inmates: From growing and harvesting the fruits and herbs, to distilling them.

Haeftling - Doing Good:

Not only will you look great, but you are doing your good deed for the day: The innovative project puts money back into training programs of the prisons and to the inmates themselves.

Haeftling also supports organizations that campaign internationally to improve prison conditions and uphold the rights of political prisoners.
