Guide Review - Steiff Stuffed Animals for the Child in All of Us

I love stuffed animals, my daughter has an ongoing collection of teddy bears that include many of the Steiff favorites as well as all the Harrods bears so we are big teddy bear fans. There can be no better place to see a world of teddy bears and stuffed animals than the Steiff Museum.

The company goes back over 100 years and was founded by Margerete Steiff- the story is an inspiration for handicapped people and women as she basically took an idea and created a whole company from the confines of her wheelchair which is not an easy thing to do today, let alone in the 1800s.

I am particularly fond of the fact that you can see how a stuffed animal is created, from conception to market, at the museum. The guides are friendly and informative and the museum itself is interesting and innovative, having just opened in 2006.

For stuffed animal lovers, feminists, entrepreneurs and handicapped people this museum is an inspiration. One caveat - it is easy to spend a lot of money here!
