No matter where you are in Cologne, you can see the spires of the Dom, coming in by train, it is the first thing you see as you exit the train station. Germany's largest cathedral, the Cologne Cathedral took over 600 years to complete, starting in 1248. The Cologne Cathedral is 144 metres long, 86 metres wide and has 157 metre-tall spires. The Cathedral houses the relics of the 3 wise men as well as countless other artifacts. Make sure you take the roof tour as it is unforgettable and well worth the climb.
