Frankfurt Book Fair - Overview:
The Frankfurt Book Fair, annually held in October, is the world's largest trade show of books and the place to be for book lovers, publishers, translators, and authors.
More than 7,300 exhibitors from 100 countries, 299,000 visitors and over 10,000 journalists come annually to Frankfurt’s Book Fair.
In 2012, the Frankfurt Book Fair takes place from October 10-14.
Frankfurt Book Fair - What to Expect:
During the week, the Frankfurt book fair is only open to accredited trade-visitors; the general public is welcome on the last weekend of the event, where readings, exhibitions, panel discussions, concerts, and films are organized alongside the presentation of books.
Each year, the Frankfurt Book Fair invites a guest of honor and offers an array of events to present this country’s culture and literature. In 2011, the guest of honor is Iceland.
