Central Walking Path Unter den Linden
Walk Under the Linden Trees

By , About.com Guide

A little further up the boulevard starts the central walking path lined with trees; walk in the middle of this green alley and enjoy the view on both sides.

An interesting fact: All the Linden trees were cut down in World War II and were used for firewood. The trees you are walking under now where all replanted in the 1950s.

If you are tired of walking or your kids need a rest by now, hop on one of the many bike-rickshaws that line up along „Unter den Linden“. See the city from a different perspective, and let someone else do the pedaling.
