A special delight when visiting new cities is seeing the museums and it can sometimes be daunting, a great solution is to try to be in the city you are visiting during one of the Long Nights. From 6 pm to 2 am in most cities, you are able to take the public transportation, follow a route, go to as many museums as you like and also enjoy countless performances. It is definitely well worth thinking about. To that end, I have created a Guide to Long Night of the Museums in German Cities, if you know of cities I may have missed, please let me know. I certainly planning on attending as many as I can but I am in Germany so it makes it a little easier. I do highly recommend it though, it is an incredible experience and a great way to tour a city.
