By January 8, 2013

Follow me on:

Little Red Riding Hood, Snow White, and the Bremen Town Musicians - Germany is the home of the brothers Grimm and their beloved fairy tales, which are among the best known works of German literature and famous all over the world.

Last month marked the 200th anniversary of the first edition of the Brothers Grimm's famous fairy tales, so it is only fitting that Germany celebrates the two brothers with a year full of family-friendly and enchanting events; from exhibitions and concerts, to musicals, puppet shows and fairy tale festivals, here's where Cinderella and Pit the Piper come to life:

Another way to explore the country of the Brothers Grimm is a ride along Germany's Fairy Tale Road, which connects the towns and landscapes that were the inspiration for some of the  most famous fairy tales: Hike through Little Red Riding Hood's forest dark and deep, spend the night in the castle of Sleeping Beauty, or visit the home of the Bremen town musicians.
