I am not a fan of statistics, but the annual post-Oktoberfest statistics, traditionally released on the last day of the festival, are always entertaining. More than 6.4 million Oktoberfest visitors from around the world drank 6.9 million liters of beer, and ate ... oxen. The Oktoberfest statistics are especially famous for their numbers on intriguing items that were lost during the 2-week festival:
- 1000 items of clothing
- 2 wedding rings
- 1 baby monitor
- 1 ping pong racket
- 1 playboy magazine (autographed by the "Oktoberfest Playmate")
- one dog (was picked up)
