'Tis the Season (for German Wine)

The German wine festival season is getting into full swing this month: Between August 25 and September 5, wine aficionados can raise their glass in the city of Stuttgart, which hosts one of the largest and best wine festivals in Germany, the "Stuttgart Wine Village".

Located in the Neckar wine region, Stuttgart is proud to have a 1000-year old viniculture. Its wine festival attracts more than a million wine connoisseurs, who sample Swabian delicacies and can chose from over 250 regional wines, including Trollinger, Riesling, Kerner, and Müller-Thurgau.
