Attention Fashionistas: Berlin celebrates all things fashion during its annual Fashion Week, which kicks off July 3rd. Premiered in 2007, Berlin Fashion Week is taking place twice a year and proves that Germany's capital of cool can hold its own among international fashion cities like Milan, Paris, or New York.
Berlin Fashion weeks is many things: The heart of it all is the Mercedes Benz Fashion week with its runway shows on "Straße des 17. Juni" at the Victory Column; then there is BREAD & BUTTER, the leading international trade fair for street and urban wear at the former Tempelhof Airport (July 4-6 2012), as well as various eco-shows that celebrate sustainable fashion. Not to mention after-show parties, designer sales, a fashion film festival, and showrooms of up-and-coming designers throughout the city. And keep your eyes wide open: Supermodels, designers, and paparazzi flock to Berlin during Fashion Week, promising many A - list sightings...
