Thousands of foodies flock to the German island of Sylt these days to indulge in the 3-day long Sylt Gourmet Festival. From January 20 to 23, top chefs and sommeliers from around the world prepare their feasts in the best restaurants of Sylt, which some call "The Hamptons of Germany", offering everything from fresh-caught lobster, and fine French wines, to Spanish Tapas. In addition, you can enjoy cooking workshops, wine tastings, and parties all over the little island of Sylt.

Sylt, the northernmost tip of Germany, is a 3-hour car ride away from Hamburg.
