The Most Charming Places in the World

Monday February 23, 2009

My colleague Sheridan Alexander, About.com Guide to Southeast US Travel, knows all about Southern charm and hospitality in the southeastern region of the United States.

In her latest blog, Sheridan does not only share some of her best hotspots in the U.S., but also gathers more than 20 Charming Destinations Around the World.

My suggestion for a memorable getaway in Germany?
The 1000 year old Bavarian Castle Colmberg that was turned into a romantic hotel.
Castle Colmberg has it all, so go ahead and live like a king or queen: Have a cup of coffee in the courtyard, feast on meals fresh from the hunt in the rustic restaurant, and spend the night in a historic room with a four poster bed, centuries-old paintings, and wooden ceilings.
