Spotlight: City Trip to Hamburg

Tuesday December 2, 2008

Hamburg, the second largest city in Germany, is a great destination to visit year-round.
Hamburg's harbor, one of the biggest ports in the world, the two rivers Alster and Elbe , and 2.300 bridges (more than Venice and Amsterdam combined) create a fantastic maritime and romantic atmosphere.

When visiting Hamburg in winter, make sure to pack some warm clothes - it gets very cold. But you can also look forward to a special Hamburg winter experience: Ice skating on the beautiful lake Binnenalster in the heart of the city.

Have a look at our suggested itinerary Two Great Days in Hamburg and enjoy the best landmarks and attractions of the city in only 48 hours.
